Sarah & Phil get married at The White Hart Inn, Alfreton

Finally Complete…
The White Hart Inn Alfreton

I first met Sarah & Phil, when they came into the studio to bring their little boy Travis in for some photographs when he was a newborn.

Since then I’ve photographed his little sister Pippa, and photographed them both together year on year.

When Sarah told me that they were getting married she told me straight away she wanted me. Infact, I hadn’t even opened the diary for 2021 when she origionally asked!

Luckily, COVID didn’t make them change their date, it was always for the date they wished it to be, unfortunately though everything was up in the air until just a few weeks before too!

But they’ve done it – finally they feel complete as a full little married family.

I started Bridal Prep in Room 105 at The White Hart Inn Alfreton where Sarah, her Mum, Bridesmaids and flowergirls were all getting ready with her.

It was a crazy hive of activity as Sarah had two flowergirls and eight bridesmaids including her maid of honour! Add in two hairdressers, a make up artist and a photographer – it was a bit busy!

Dad came by to see Sarah, the dress and her full look which Dad had not seen. Tt was a complete surprise for him and he cried when he saw his little girl all ready to go and marry the father of her two beautiful children.

Whilst I was photographing Sarah, my second shooter for the day Maria, was with Phil, his best men, groomsmen and little boy Travis.

They were getting ready in room 101 at The White Hart Inn Alfreton, and their room also had a lovely small juliet balcony opening up to beautiful landscape surrounding the hotel.

After the groom was ready, the guests were arriving and mingling in the bank holiday sunshine awaiting the ceremony to start.

The Ceremony was held at 1pm, where Sarah walked down the aisle with her Dad after her bridesmaids came down the aisle in single file.

A harpist played them in which sounded beautiful.

Phil waited for his bride with his two best men – and there were definately plenty of tears shed during the ceremony.

After the ceremony we headed out for drinks, chatting, ice-cream and group photographs!

It was perfect bank holiday weather, beautifully sunny and able to make the most of the grounds at the venue.

The guests enjoyed ice-cream on the terrace when the photographs were over, and the children (and some adults) enjoyed playing on the bouncing castle too!

After Group Photographs, I took some photographs of the couple before giving them some time to mingle with their guests before we went inside for food.

The food was beautiful and I would highly recommend popping to The White Hart Inn Alfreton to also sample their pub-grub at some point!

Speeches were held after dinner and were given by Father of the Bride, Groom and both Best Men.

After dinner, guests headed back out to the terrace where a magician joined the guests and I took some more photographs of the couple now the sun had dropped to give us a bit more of a softer beautiful light.

The evening reception started where Sarah & Dad had a Father/Daughter dance before Sarah and Phil took to the dancefloor for their first dance.

Thank you Mr & Mrs Cooper for letting me share your special day, and see your family grow and now become an “official” family unit.
