I started Bridal Prep in Room 7 at Waterton Park Hotel Wakefield where Rachel, her mum and bridesmaids were getting ready with her – I love this room over on the island, with two big windows and you can see all the comings and goings over the bridge.

Rachel’s dress was a beautiful lace dress, with a silver sparkle and a crystal belt, with a beautiful veil to finish of the perfect bridal look.

The ceremony was planned for 1pm in the Waterton Suite and it was lovely to see the room so full of people! The ceremony was running late as unfortunately traffic meant the officiant’s were also running late and not the bride!

The bridesmaids walked down the aisle singularly, before Rachel walked down the aisle with her mum to meet Phil. 

The ceremony was so lovely with a little story of how they got together and then a  poem read by the brides aunt!

I love ceremonies with a personal touch!

After the ceremony we headed straight outside for a confetti photograph and then to start group photographs and the drinks reception.

Rachel & Phil had muscians playing who were friends of theirs, which is always lovely to hear live music playing.

It was a completely overcast day, and looked like it was going to threaten to rain, and apart from a very light shower, it managed to stay dry!

After the group photographs, thats when we started with photographs of the new Mr & Mrs – and allowed them some time to mingle with their guests too!

After photographs were over it was time to head inside for the Wedding Breakfast, then speeches were delivered after the meal by Uncle of the Bride, Groom and Best men, there was even a song in there too!

We headed down to the Boathouse at Waterton Park Hotel Wakefield for the evening reception.

The muscians played again for a 30-minute slot, before Rachel & Phil took the floor for their first dance.

Finishing the evening off with some evening photographs definately rounded off a fabulous wedding day!
